These plants are well-adapted to warm subtropical to tropical climates. So, guavas do best with regular, deep watering!
Plant these stunners in full sun.
They thrive outdoors in zones 9-11. If you live in a colder climate, keep them potted and take them inside when the temps drop so they stay thriving. Temperatures below 50°F cause growth to slow or cease!
Use loamy soil with a pH of 4.5-7. A balanced, slow-release fertilizer 3-4 times a year is key.
Guavas can grow 15-20 ft. tall and 10-20 ft. wide. Prune to your preferred size.
Fruits in spring & summer soon after the first year.
