Water every time the top 2 inches of soil feels dry. These trees do not like to sit in water so let them dry out between each watering. Keep in mind: the olive tree is an evergreen that flourishes in hot dry areas, so they won’t love wet, winter soil.
Olives love plenty of sun!
Zones 7-11 (depending on variety) for outside, and keep in a pot for the cold so you can take it inside when the temps cool below 35 degrees!
Use well-drained soil, half made of bark and the other half of peat, and a balanced, slow-release fertilizer.
Olives can grow 15-20 ft. tall and 8-12 ft. wide. Prune to your preferred size.
Fruits in fall soon after the third year.
