Grow your own boost of caffeine and décor staple. What could be a better combo? The tea plant produces sweet white flowers with bright yellow stamens, so you can brew a fresh cup of your very own tea while you enjoy the floral. Nestle your tea shrub on a sill in your kitchen for full sun, and easy access. The shrub typically reaches a height of 3-6 ft., but can grow much taller when planted outdoors. Tea is a winter lover, and blooms in November and December.

Note: arrives in a grower’s pot.

Water frequently during the first two years – ‌2 or 3 times per week during the summer. Good news: the tea plant is drought-tolerant once established.
Tea plants favor full to partial sun, preferring morning sunlight and afternoon shade.
Outdoors in zones 7-11.
Use a well-drained, acidic soil and a balanced, slow-release fertilizer.
Tea can grow to 10-15 ft. tall and 6-10 ft. wide. Prune to your preferred size.
