Care

	Pond apple prefers consistently moist, well-draining soil but does not tolerate soggy conditions or standing water. Increase watering during the growing season and reduce during the cooler months.
	They thrive in full sun, requiring at least 6 to 8 hours of direct sunlight each day.
	If planting outdoors, keep in zones 9-11. In colder climates, keep above 32°F!
	Feed with a balanced, slow release fruit tree fertilizer during the growing season, typically in spring through early fall.
	Pond apple is a vigorous, fast-growing tree that typically reaches 30–40 ft. tall with a 20–30 ft. spread at maturity. It can also be maintained at a smaller size with regular pruning, especially in home landscapes.
	Fruits from late summer through fall, with harvests typically beginning around the sixth year.
