Details

One of the tropics’ best kept secrets. The sugar apple produces rich, creamy fruit with a flavor that’s somewhere between vanilla custard and tropical candy. Rarely seen, endlessly satisfying, and destined to become the tree everyone asks about.

Note: arrives in a grower’s pot. This plant is shipped without fruit.

Sugar apple prefers consistently moist, well-draining soil but does not tolerate soggy conditions or standing water. Increase watering during the growing season and reduce during the cooler months.
They thrive in full sun, requiring at least 6 to 8 hours of direct sunlight each day for the healthiest growth and best fruit production.
If planting outdoors, keep in zones 9-11. In colder climates, keep above 32°F!
Feed with a balanced, slow release fruit tree fertilizer during the growing season, typically in spring through early fall.
Sugar apple can grow 15-20 ft. tall and wide when planted in the ground. In containers, it typically stays 6–10 ft. tall with occasional pruning, making it easy to maintain on patios or in smaller spaces.
Fruits from late summer through fall, with harvests typically beginning around the third year.
Thai Lessard Green (Zones 9-11)
