One of the tropics’ best kept secrets. The sugar apple produces rich, creamy fruit with a flavor that’s somewhere between vanilla custard and tropical candy. Rarely seen, endlessly satisfying, and destined to become the tree everyone asks about.

Care
 | Sugar apple prefers consistently moist, well-draining soil but does not tolerate soggy conditions or standing water. Increase watering during the growing season and reduce during the cooler months. |
 | They thrive in full sun, requiring at least 6 to 8 hours of direct sunlight each day for the healthiest growth and best fruit production. |
 | If planting outdoors, keep in zones 9-11. In colder climates, keep above 32°F! |
 | Feed with a balanced, slow release fruit tree fertilizer during the growing season, typically in spring through early fall. |
 | Sugar apple can grow 15-20 ft. tall and wide when planted in the ground. In containers, it typically stays 6–10 ft. tall with occasional pruning, making it easy to maintain on patios or in smaller spaces. |
 | Fruits from late summer through fall, with harvests typically beginning around the third year. |
